Notes

[1] decoration on syllable

[2] Text has ṇṛ for pṛ – similar forms.

[3] Text is smudged

[4] Text is smudged

[5] Syllable is unclear gnaḥ? Conze reads na amārgaḥ. The syllable is clearly a conjunct with ga; the addition of preceding r, rga, is plausible though the r- is far less distinct than others, particular the one immediately preceding. If Conze’s reading is correct then rgnaḥ is a scribal error for rgaḥ

[6] There can be little doubt that the syllable is sṭa; though this does not make sense in the context, and sṭa is not allowed in Sanskrit.

[7] i.e. ti krā

[8] khi for kṣi

[9] decorative diacritics
